Herd Sires

We artificially inseminate all of our breeding age females each November to produce our calf crop each late summer/early fall.  We meticulously select AI sires that are the best fit for the needs of each individual animal and our herd as a whole.  Ledger, Fargo, Rushmore, Sir Duke 7340, and Sundance are several of the bulls that we have used or are currently using with great success.  Our herd sires are used to breed any females for whom the first AI attempt was unsuccessful.  Needless to say, we take the job of choosing our herd sires very seriously.

Ringo's first calves have arrived and they are looking fantastic!  Ringo has the balanced EPD profile that we demand with an emphasis on calving ease, muscle mass, and scrotal circumference.  He is a M6 Slam Dunk son and his dam is the outstanding Ledger daughter, CWC MS Bud 352, so he combines the attributes of these two well-known bulls into an impressive package with tons of eye appeal. He came to us from Clear Water Cattle, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for this young bull.

The future is certainly bright for this LT Ledger son. His EPD profile is outstanding, with 7 of his EPD criteria being in the top 30% of the breed and a TSI score of 218.12. We will be eager to see his first calves in the fall of 2019
