Females

Our females are the heart and soul of our program at 4 Roots. We emphasize fertility, calving ease, calm dispositions, and good milk output which leads to high weaning weights for calves. Our 2017 calf crop averaged 681 pounds at weaning!  Females two years of age and up are expected to produce calves yearly, and any cow that doesn't breed back in a timely fashion is removed from the herd.

This beautiful coming three year old is a LT Rio Blanco daughter and maternally is from the LT Wyoming Wind family. She raised her first calf, an impressive bull, to a weaning weight of 680 lbs.
